Part of luxury themed Triple IPA series - this one is hopped entirely with Citra and Citra Cryo and could very well be our favorite from the series.

Reviewed one day after can release. Poured into a Magnify tulip glass. It pours a murky, dirty gold color with over a finger of fluffy, milk-white head and copious lacing. The aroma is dank with lots of onion and lemon up front, along with grapefruit, pine needles, and floral hops. Its taste is dense and complex: lemon, onion, sweet malt, a hint of caramel, and lots of flavorful Citra hops. There is little bitterness - and like the previous beers in this series, Reserved and Velvet Rope, it is surprisingly delicate for the elevated ABV. It finishes quite dry with a touch of cracker malt. The tastes all blend extremely well. This ale is super rich and viscous with pleasant carbonation, and there is no escaping the 10.5% ABV. Overall, Gold Plated is very good. I think the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
