Creamline is a new 7% DDH IPA. We brewed this beer with as much lactose as a glass of milk, or 12 grams per 8 ounces. This is way, way more than we’ve ever used in a beer before. We hopped Creamline with Citra, Motueka and Simcoe. The result is a super smooth and creamy IPA that’s dangerously crushable with just the right amount of sweetness. We can’t promise strong bones from drinking this but we’re big fans of this one.

Appearance: Arrives a cloudy honey color with a thin cap; a few shards of lace
Smell: Pineapple with a hint of lemon cream
Taste: Pineapple forward with a lemon cream and grapefruit citrus element emerging through the middle; while there is a sweet side to this beer there is enough grapefruit bitterness to keep it in balance
Mouthfeel: Medium body and creamy with moderate carbonation
Overall: A first class NE IPA with tasty fruit flavors and a nice bitter balance

5/19/19...pours thick mustard colored yellow with a complete absence of foam. Strong start lemon nose, some orange as well. Creamy mouthfeel, milky mouthfeel, subtle citrus and light bitter. Interesting tart bitter beer.

Reviewed two days after canning. Poured into a Magnify stemless glass. It pours a totally opaque golden orange color with brownish hues. I was surprised how lite the head was out of the can; it was more like a draught pour. There is a thin, milk-white head and a thin but creamy sheen of lacing. On the nose there is lemon and pineapple, along with milk sugar. The hops are deep in the background. Wow, is this tasty! It opens with lemon, grapefruit, and tropical notes. Mid-sip is all about the lactose; it's creamy and sweet. At the finish there is a nice dose of pineapple. The blend of Citra, Simcoe, and Motueka hops is plush and very flavorful. This ale has a rich, creamy, fairly viscous mouthfeel with a pleasant level of carbonation, and at 7% ABV it's dangerously drinkable. Based on the description, I was prepared for a sweet, milkshake IPA but I was pleasantly surprised by the fruity notes - particularly the pineapple. This is a fine IPA from Magnify. I'll go out on a limb and predict that Magnify will brew this - or more likely a variant - again.
