Not what I expected from a DIPA. I think the almonds, pistachios and lactose really come through. Not DIPA hoppy, but interesting.

L - breakfast DIPA? My eyebrow is raised just as much as yours. Pours a mostly hazy (slight translucence) dark orange gold with a hint of amber. Fuzzy white head.

S - honey and lemon upsidedown cake. Bundt? Orange marmalade and sugary lactose. Not getting any particularly unique breakfasty flavors, but as a whole it smells the cereals my parents wouldn't let me eat as a kid.

T - definitely sugary. Cinnamon bun icing, almond bread with brown sugar topping, and berry jam. Lemon-lime vanilla candy. Imagine if Creme Savers made such a flavor. Surprisingly bitter, with lingering herbaceousness dancing in the background, distracting my taste buds from discovering the rest of those pesky breakfast flavors.

F - creamy and proper, a hair on the lighter side for this ABV and style. Not as cloying as the flavor might suggest. Still complements the beer well.

O - I was expecting big, bold breakfast flavors, but instead got the sugariness of teeth-rotting cereal without much of the exotic french toast and maple syrup flavors one might anticipate. But that's not what's advertised here. Less flavor, more feeling. Sugary sensations. This would be a great novelty beer if Magnify could hash out the flavors a bit more. Quite a bit of bitterness that's unexpected, but appreciated as a break from the sweetness.
