The appearance is cola or coffee-like dark brown with a thin but persistent tan blanket.
A rather light cola-esque undercarriage of tangy sweetness blends into a woody nutty porter-like body with minimal roast, nose-diving to a richly decadent yet not too heavy-handed nougat, caramel, and milk chocolatey marshmallow. Somehow an herbal rooty bitterness comes out after the Halloween candy overload, making it easier than expected to come back to over a session.
The medium body is lifted by a mild effervescence that, when it dissipates, becomes thicker and syrupy.

Good sized head from a moderate pour; good retention and excellent lacing.
Peanuts and caramel are immediately present on the nose, riding a smooth milk stout base of chocolate, cream, toast, and toffee.
Up front, flavor is fairly restrained across the board, coming across as a fairly normal milk stout with low bitterness. After about a third, however, the caramel kicks in, itself followed by prominent notes of salted peanuts. The caramel emerges from the stout base; cream is present throughout; chocolate accents all of the other flavors without ever asserting itself.
Smooth, rich, and creamy. Not quite chewy, but full bodied beyond what you'd expect for an 8% ABV stout.
