A: pours bright, raspberry red with a small, pink head with minimal retention and lacing.
S: strong strawberry and raspberry smell with sour notes; subtle sweet vanilla undertones.
T: sweet, raspberry vanilla taste with a tart, raspberry finish; not much of a strawberry taste. Starts dank and sour but finishes relatively smooth.
M: medium bodied and very smooth
O: pretty well balanced sour ale; fruit, vanilla, and sour notes blend very well.

Reviewed one day after can release. Poured into Magnify stemless glass. It pours a light orange-pink color that evokes a red grapefruit with a half finger of creamy, bright white head and a thick film of like-colored lacing. The nose is slightly sour with notes of raspberry and vanilla cream. The taste opens with lots of sourness and tart raspberry, along with some sweeter fruit. There is also a crackery malt base. As the glass warms the sweetness of the berry increases, and it finishes with a touch of vanilla. It has a mellow mouth feel with moderate carbonation, and the 8% ABV poses no impediment to drinking a second pour. Froot Stripez is a bit more sour than some of Magnify's thicker, fruitier kettle sours but it is ideal for summertime drinking.

First it's sour, then it's sweet. But it's more than that. It's that hope of that first warm spring day where you thought there was nothing new but that freshness hits you and you're a new person. Open the windows, feel that first day of spring, that breeze, and sip on this bad boy. Celebrate that you made it through winter and you're a champ.
