A - Black pour with incredibly dense, creamy, toffee colored foam resting on top (that also clings to the sides of the glass).
S - Fudge brownie and sweet gooey chocolate on the nose.
T - Fudge, fudge brownie, mocha, gooey chocolate, vanilla, and ends on the sweeter side with a nice lingering fudge brownie sweetness with some underlying chocolate bitterness.
M - Thick, syrupy mouthfeel with some frothy texture around the edges. Alcohol warming is subdued for an 11% beer.
O - This is a pretty fantastic Imperial Stout with alot of gooey chocolate character.

L-Aggressive pour yields a big 2 fingered frothy mocha head with long retention......lacing is thick.....beer is black
S- Sweet chocolate marshmallow, some vanilla wafers, caramel, sweet smell of milk sugars, some brown sugar and molasses, hazelnut, fig
T-Follows the nose......Sweet chocolate, vanilla, molasses, anise, caramel, some roasty nuttiness, burnt brown sugar,
F- thick, creamy, full bodied, quite the mouthful, low carb, smooth, slightly boozy
O-Good beer for a frigid May day.......lots of chocolate sweetness makes this a good desert beer or a perfect beer for Sunday brunch....well done.... definitely a one and done beer as it too filling and sweet to drink two in a row....but don't think it was designed for more than one....if you like the style, you'll like this

Reviewed 3 days after can release. I took it out of the fridge approximately 2 hours before drinking. Poured into a snifter. It pours a very dark walnut with a half finger of frothy, light mocha cap that dissipated rather quickly leaving a thin sheen of and lacing. What an aroma! cocoa, freshly-brewed coffee, vanilla, nuts, and a whiff of dark fruit. Wow, it it decadent: It opens with chocolate cake and dark roasted coffee followed by nutty char that provides balancing bitterness. You taste the bitterness at the back of the tongue while there is subtle vanilla at the tip. It's really well-balanced. The mouth feel is delightfully thick and chewy with lite carbonation and the 11% ABV is warming. Overall, Fudgement day is a delight. It's appropriate for after-dinner sipping and would pair well with vanilla ice cream or cannoli. This Stout was sold in a 2-pack. My only concern is whether it will age well. But fresh, it's amazing.
