Born Day is the original birthday cake imperial stout brewed with hundreds of pounds of cake batter. We then aged it in bourbon barrels for 1 year before conditioning it on mountains of Oreos and coffee.

14 March 2021 - Beer #232
Price: $18.00 at the brewery
Appearance: 4 - looks pretty terrific. Thick and dark but barely any head.
Nose: 5 - not much barrel to speak of, but does it ever smell like birthday cake.
Taste: 4 - this is SO interesting. Now Magnify, while not the world's best brewery, is nothing to sneeze at for a brewery I can hit during my lunch hour, but this is by far the most complex beer I've had from them. It's birthday cake up front, with Oreo in the middle. The coffee comes in WAY at the bitter end, leaving you with an intriguing aftertaste. I also only get barrel on the aftertaste.
Mouth: 5 - plenty thick, and as sticky as beer gets.
Overall: 4 - an extremely well crafted brew. I really like it, but I wish it had some more barrel. Nearly perfect.
Cheers!
