L- Not quite black....dark mahogany around the edges where the light passes through....1/4 head that settles into a ring....lacing is moderate
S-Lots of chocolate and milk sugar....... cinnamon, brown sugar.....vanilla wafer
T-chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, pecan pie, brown sugar......
F- a bit thin for my liking for this style.....mild carb....slick and oily
O-Tasty brew....would rate higher if it were thicker.....but worth the purchase

A: Dark hickory or chocolate brown. A fizzling head, khaki colored that quickly mottles as it fades quickly.
S: Snickers bars, milk chocolate, hints of cinnamon and caramelizing brown sugar, vanilla milk. Overall, I don't get a strong pecan impression like one might have when near a street nut cart.
M: Med-full body, well-carbonated. Actually, a thinner than expected feel that becomes creamier as it warms.
T: Lightly toasted pecans, slight roast astringency, raw brown sugar, milk chocolate and birch flavored pirouline straws--vanilla wafers. Low maillard flavor, and low-to moderated sugar glazed pecan flavor. Not as sweet as the name might suggest. A very nice base beer that played it rather safe if you were looking for some pastry stout explosion; otherwise, more drinkable with a nuanced pecan pie flavor.
