Local Tongue is a new 12.5% Imperial Stout collaboration with our buds at Track across the pond in Manchester, England. Local Tongue takes Language Barrier, our collaboration brewed in Manchester, and “Americanizes” it to the extreme. This is America, so of course we are going to go big. We brewed with with chocolate fudge and chocolate pudding (like our Fudgement Day stouts) and conditioned it on chocolate sandwich cookies, cheesecake and dulce de leche. Contains a small amount of lactose from the chocolate fudge.

Pours liquidy, oily black with a dark copper colored head of foam one-half finger high that vanishes almost as soon as you set the first glass down. What aroma there is faintly chocolate, but there is little to give much away from the aroma. Taste is deep chocolate, dark chocolate and fudge with a bourbon profile. The texture is smooth, not complex and does not last long. The ABV is present and accounted for.
