Fudgement Day: Java the Cup is an 11% fudge-forward Imperial Stout is inspired by peanut butter cups, cups of coffee and a few movies some people seem to like. This thick stout was brewed with chocolate pudding, chocolate fudge, coffee and peanut butter. Contains a small amount of lactose from the chocolate fudge.

Sometimes I buy 16 oz. cans without knowing anything about the brewery or beer other than the six word description. Coffee, PB, chocolate, stout, done.
Black pour with what beer, ah, aficionados would call a nice mocha head. The chocolates & malts really jump out at the nose.
Fudgement Day is a clever name & a unique taste, which is akin to discovering a new president we overlooked from 1772. Big chocolate hit with an edge which I’m going to attribute to the pudding without nauseating mouthfeel of that semi-liquid-semi-solid. Coffee hits gently post-choco before sweet malts & peanut butter sweep through to the finish. Deeply sweet. Thick & lovely. I’ll enjoy all the ounces.
Nice effort that uses a cocoa delivery system I haven’t seen before & it shows in the mouth. Could use more PB, but what couldn’t? Very good brew.

L:. Pours a black oily color with a very medium tan head that dissipates rather quickly and leaves no lacing on the glass.
S:. Earthy fresh brewed coffee, light notes of fudgy milk chocolate and roast malt, but coffee is the forefront.
T:. Rich earthy fresh brewed coffee, with notes of fudgy chocolate and some roast, this is a very pleasant coffee stout.
F:. Oily smooth with a larger body.
O:. This is a very pleasant coffee stout.
