Collaboration with Tin Barn. Mash up between our luxury series of Triple IPAs and their Queen Citra Triple IPA. Citra, Citra Cryo, and Comet Salvo - a new hop product like Incognito used on the hot side that has the bitterness removed.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy caramel pour, tight head leaves rings of lacing. Aroma is citrus and toffee, a bit of ABV. Hoppy burst opens the taste, light sweet malts, caramel, citrus, stone fruit. Booziness comes through as a light buzz rather than heat on the palate. I like Magnify's big IPAs, but this one can sneak up on you.

I like my beers strong and when I traded for this recently, I had high hopes given the breweries that were involved in this collaboration. Even though I don't buy much from Magnify these days, it's obvious to see how they had a hand in this as I was blown away by how damned good this beer was and it's ease of enjoyment, given that it was an Imperial IPA!

Quite a murky pour to this as this had a turbid apricot hue to it with a full and beautiful head that topped this off as it perfectly filled up the remainder of my pint glass. Lovely, layered lacing was left behind as the suds were thick and deep down a majority of my pint glass. Lots of melon, papaya, gooseberry, and deep citrus in the nose as the taste closely followed suit. Slick, sticky, and deep, this got better as it warmed up until I looked in my glass and saw that I was down to my last sip. Yes, this was that full and that good as the hops were in perfect proportion to each other with a subtle, boozy undertone underneath everything that was fitting for a beer of this type.

The carbonation was nicely recessed and the stone fruit mouthfeel and sticky aftertaste on my palate only left me wanting more than what I poured out of the can. It looked like this was canned on 1/25 based on the smudged writing on the label but no matter - this was plenty green, dank, and most importantly, juicy as Tin Barn's influence could be felt throughout. Really impressed with this beer as this combined the best aspects of an American and New England IPA with the end result being a beer easily worthy of another go-around. There's so much to like here!

Reviewed less than a week after canning. Poured into a snulip glass. It pours a dense, murky, muddy tangerine color with a large, fluffy, milk-white head and copious lacing. It has a big, fruity smell with lots of lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, and ripe melon. The taste is equal to the nose; it's super dank with lots of pineapple, tangerine, honeydew melon, lemon peel, and sharp grapefruit. The Citra hops are enormous and the Comet Salvo hops add a grassy, zesty spiciness. There is strong, clean bitterness throughout without any yeast burn at the finish. As expected the mouth feel is luxuriously thick and creamy with appropriate carbonation, and it's very drinkable for 10.5% ABV. Fit for Royalty is a great example of a collaboration working well - it deftly marries Tin Barn's big, juicy New England IPAs with the soft, plush mouth feel of Magnify's TIPAs. This is a fine, fine Triple.
