I'm Kind of a Big Deal

Reviewed less than a week after release. 14 oz. draught pour at the brewery It pours a muddy, brownish-orange color with a half finger of creamy, milk-white head and thick, creamy lacing. The smell is a bit subdued; it offers lemon and grapefruit, along with a whiff of berry and melon. The taste opens with citrus: bitter lemon and grapefruit rind. But as it warms there is increasing melon, berry, and particularly cannabis from the Strata hops. It definitely has an earthy, herbal taste. There is a heavy dose of dry bitterness throughout. There is a touch of hop burn at the finish. The mouth feel is thick and creamy with fairly lite carbonation. You would not know that the ABV is 10% because it drinks quite easily. Overall, I'm Kind of a Big Deal is most enjoyable but it's heavy on the Strata. If you like the earthy, herbal, cannabis flavor, then this is your beer.
