This was another beer that I picked up at Magnify a few months back, as I was in mourning for the discontinued product that this was based on. While not served as cold, there was enough to enjoy here as it was a sufficient brew that had enough flavor and filling to it, even if it could have been a bit more bold.
Of course, this poured dark as it had a big head of mocha that was full of bubbles. Once that settled, there wasn’t much to be seen on the side of my glass as the lacing was quite sparse. Some chocolate and waffle cone were in the nose as the peanut butter was a bit too strong. More lactose and ice cream in the taste would have enhanced this as it was just a bit too bitter for me, but was fine on it’s own as a dessert.
Enough body was here as the carbonation was light, which allowed the oil from the peanut butter and the crunch from the waffle cone to emerge, as the back was sticky like marshmallows. No date was on the bottom of the can as this held up well over the last few months. This was fine once but yeah, I’d trade a cab to have the real thing back one more time!
