Reviewed less than a week after release. 14 oz. pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a dense, muddy, orange color with a half finger of creamy, milk-white head an thick, soapy lacing. Quite attractive for a draught pour. Its nose is rather subdued; mostly sweet malt, lemon, melon, and mild floral hops. The taste, however, is big and bold opening with creamy, oaty sweetness and a firm, bready malt base. The Belma hops shine with notes of cantaloupe, red berry, and pineapple. But the fruit is well balanced by pine and earthy, hoppy bitterness from the Simcoe. It finishes with pronounced bitterness and a touch of hop burn. The taste improves as it breathes in the glass. This ale has a rich, creamy mouth feel with appropriate carbonation and it's noticeably boozy for its 10% ABV. Overall, this collaboration with Cushwa Brewing Co. is very flavorful and delivers a super mouth feel. A fine TIPA!
