On draught at the brewery. Special encore release for the brewery's 9th anniversary. Served in a tumbler glass. It pours a muddy tangerine color with a half finger cap of creamy, ecru-colored foam and lots of thick, clinging lacing. A very appealing appearance for a draught pour. At the temperature served it took some time for the nose to develop but it included notes of lemon, lime, pineapple, white wine, and tropical fruits. The taste is huge and fruity with lemon, lime, grapefruit, pineapple, and peach. At mid-palate it's grassy and quite dank and herbal with a hint of vanilla. While not overly bitter there is a touch of hop burn at the finish. The hop bill is terrific: Sabro Incognito, Cashmere, Motueka, Riwaka, and Nectaron. They provide a great balance of tart citrus, sweet fruit, vanilla, and grassy herbs. The mouth feel is nicely thick and creamy with appropriate carbonation, and it drinks below its 8.8% ABV. Overall, 8 is superb. I missed it in 2023 and am grateful that Magnify brought it back this year.
