DATE: November 30, 2024... OCCASION: a wild college football day (Penn State in the Big10 championship!) and a whole home Christmas decorating, it's time to relax with a brown ale--tough to find around Thanksgiving, for some reason... GLASSWARE: nonick... pours a simmering dark mahogany brown body that supports a dissipating off-white head... cola, roasted malts, ginger, light citrus, and some nuttiness offer an appealing, albeit workmanlike, aroma... its body is an easy-drinking, light to medium-bodied mouthfeel, with a smooth finish and minimal texture... its flavor is a nice, easy, roasted malt base with some coffee, almond and chestnut, and bread... this is a solid brown--I don't sense much honey, to be honest, but that doesn't detract from its experience...
