Appearance: Pours a completely hazy medium yellow/golden color with a strong white head. SRM of 7. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong aromas of orange, pineapple, pine, and some peach. (3.75)
Flavor: Flavors follow with herbal pine upfront. Some orange, pineapple, peach. Astringent herbal pine off the end. (3.50)
Feel: Medium body, strong carbonation. Finish balance of bitter. (3.50)
Compared to Mortalis Ceres 12/25: Stronger aromas. More herbal pine, peach. Less tropical mango notes.
Overall: In a collab with Other Half. Promising hop combination here. Herbal pine upfront. Some orange and peach, but finishes with a herbal/onion/pine note. Had high hopes for this Magnify in collab with Other Half, but this onion/herbal note does not sit well. (Rating: 3.59)

Reviewed 4 days after canning. Poured into my 10 year old Magnify tulip glass. It pours a dirty tangerine with a large, creamy, milk-white head and extensive lacing. The fruity nose includes lemon, lime, pineapple, and subtle pine. Its taste is a fine balance of sweet fruit, including pineapple and peach, and tart lemon, lime, and grapefruit, with a good dose of pine sap thrown in. There is also a pleasing herbal spiciness in the background. There is mild, clean hop bitterness throughout. This ale is full-bodied with appropriate carbonation, and it drinks exceptionally easily for 8.5% ABV. Overall, Disco Fries is a successful collaboration between two fine brewers. It is flavorful and an easy drinker for the high gravity.
