This one is so special you may only find it at the Winter Brew and Barleywine Festival in Anchorage, held in January. Whatever the season, it is brewed in the American style of flavor profile, but each year has its own special nuances.

Got this beer from the great brawleys in Charlotte nc.
Pours a dark reddish brown with a great white head and froathy formations.
Smell is like an IPA. It's full of floral and piney hops. This is obviously an American Barley wine. Lots of pine and floral hop notes over a very slight malty background.
Taste is malty and crisp in comparison to most barley wines. It has a little prune and tart grapes hinted over some heavy piney hops. Very balanced and normal for the barley wine american style.
Really liked this beer and recommend it to anyone starting out in the style
