Big, black and bold. Heaped with dark specialty malt, this ale is perfect for around the fire during the dark months of winter.

Had on tap at Homer Brewing. Started a bit brisk carbonation wise for me. Not much in way of head or residuals in glass.
But overall I really enjoyed this stout.
It had a nice rich base stout aroma and taste that had good notes of chocolate; not overly roasted or bitter and hints of dark fruit as the beer opened to air and lost its initial chill. Likewise evolved into a creamy smooth and seasonable brew despite initial briskness.
Overall a nicely rounded enjoyable sipper.
