Paired with StoneHouse Coffee to age their coffee beans in a bourbon barrel, then made cold press from the beans and added it to our chocolate oatmeal stout. Fragrant and rich, this is a sipping beer.

Poured from 12 oz can with no date. Very little head but some lacing is left down the glass. Strong coffee aroma with a bit of bourbon barrel that does not totally cover up the base stout. Nice complexity. Flavor is nice but not as impressive as the aroma. Good coffee flavor but the barrel is a bit weak. Good stout flavors. Acidity is low but bitterness is high. Body is a bit thin and the carbonation is a bit prickly.

BIF gift from vidblain. Can dated 3/15
A: pours dark brown with a 2 finger mocha colored head that leaves a lot of lacing on the glass
A: smells like a strong cup of fresh coffee, roasted malts
T: its like I'm drinking an iced coffee; slightly bitter on the beginning of the sip. the one thing that is missing is the barrel presence. I'm not getting the bourbon here from the coffee beans
F: a little thin and a little more carbed than I would prefer for this style
O: great aroma and a great coffee flavor. no sign of bourbon but it is still a drinkable beer
