Poured from a 12 ounce can, the body is jet black with no head. No lacing during the tasting.
Aroma is sweet bourbon, and a light vanilla.
Taste follows nose as the bourbon is front and center. Added flavors are oak and a light malty char. As things were allowed to warm, blank was expressed.
A light bit of booze on swallow, things surprisingly dry up quickly.
Mouthfeel is medium and carbonation low but present.
A good stout that I'd enjoy more with a bit more carbonation

12 oz can stamped 3/11/25 into a snifter.
L: SRM 40 pours black with a dark tobacco top edge, a slow receding fizzy cola-like khaki head that goes to edge foam, light steady carbo, no lacing.
S: Bourbon, wooden cask, vanilla, char, dark fruits, dark chocolate.
T: Bourbon, barnyard, horse blanket, musty oak, bitter char, dark milk chocolate, figs, red wine tannin, prunes, choco fudge in the finish. I also get a trace of rum. Not a lot of aftertaste beyond the finish.
F: Lightly brisk then quite smooth with medium carbo, a heavy bodied mouthfeel and a long fairly drying finish. It has a cola-like feel.
O: Interestingly not too sweet but rather more bitter and tannin-lined. It is dynamic as each sip has highs & lows. It is pretty dry and I like the finish. It is very good to excellent in its style.
