Color is dark amber with plenty of foam. Plenty of spritz and a malty mouthfeel. Moderate bitterness. Aroma is mild, hints of grapefruit and orange marmalade.
Some woody notes that sink into a moderate astringency. Dark roasted malt, bark, and a little sweetness. Leafy and herbal tea with a touch of mango. From the 16 oz can purchased at Barons Market.

Misc.: No canned on date
Picked this up on a recent trip to Windmill Farms. Was psyched to see some pretty sweet local cans on my first trip there in a long time. Had been wanting to go down to NOVO Brazil for quite some time. I guess the next best thing was picking up some cans. Had previously had the Corvo Negro, an imperial stout that I gave a 3.97, and tried Copocabana the night before and gave that a 3.91. Hoping this one is nearly as good. Can called for Amarillo, Citra, Cascade, Centennial and Simcoe hops. Not generally a big fan of four or more hops together, but still a huge fan of Citra and Simcoe.
Poured an amber-to-medium amber semi-hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy off-white head. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Very good spotty lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled a lot of different flavors, kind of garbled together. Maltier than I would have anticipated. In order of hops got Centennial, Cascade and trashy Simcoe Could not detect the Citra in the nose. Also got spoiled red grapefruit peel, mango rind, passion fruit, danky pine and nectarine. From the can also got guava, that Simcoe and papaya. (Smell - 3.50)
Taste followed the nose, still very malty. Got spoiled red grapefruit, earthy bitter orange peel, candied caramel squares, dry Centennial, Amarillo orange family and spicy Simcoe. Did not get any Citra, but maybe a little Cascade. Also unsweetened iced tea and purple grape. Kind of boozy for 6.50 pct. ABV. (Taste - 3.50)
Medium body. Sticky texture. Lively carbonation. Bitter finish. (Feel - 3.50)
This was a bit disappointing overall. Too malty and too many hops. (Overall - 3.50)
