Picked this up on a recent trip to Windmill Farms. Was psyched to see some pretty sweet local cans on my first trip there in a long time. Had been wanting to go down to NOVO Brazil for quite some time. I guess the next best thing was picking up some cans. Had only had one NB beer before and it was Corvo Negro, an imperial stout that I gave a 3.97. This one was labeled as an IPA brewed with Citra, Centennial and Cascade, all hops I was familiar with and should be able to distinguish.
Poured a gold, semi-clear color with three fingers of frothy white head. Lots of uneven bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass, reminding me of a snow glove. Good spotty lacing. Decent retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled juicy mango, guava, papaya and pineapple up front. Some buttery malts as well. As crazy as it sounds, not much else in the nose. Definitely dry hops, more Citra than anything else, but not getting Centennial or Cascade. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste followed the nose almost to a ‘T.’ juicy mango, guava, papaya, dry-hopped Citra, pineapple and dry Centennial late. Did not get any Cascade. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Longer finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was outstanding overall. Would have it again for sure. So much mango goodness. (Overall - 4.00)
