Color is attractive reddish amber, with an initial foam in the Petrus goblet. I thought it was pink guava at first, but while fruity it’s not so tropical. Mouthfeel is spritzy and substantial. Aroma of guava and green pepper with, I swear, Clamato.
Somehow hops don’t seem to enter the picture and it’s certainly not bitter. There is just a hint of something herbal and a brambly aftertaste. While this is eminently drinkable it’s not like any kind of IPA you might expect. It also tastes like no alcohol. From the 16 oz can purchased at Barons Market in San Diego.

Canned 11/29/18? (tiny print!)
Appearance - Pours hazy, berry in color with a light pink, half finger width head and quite a bit of sediment floating about. Sub-par retention results in a thin, broken layer of suds with a thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass. No real lacing to speak of, save a small spot or two.
Smell - Fair aroma, with hints of fruity and floral character along with a mild tartness.
Taste - Hmm. Mild flavors of tropical fruit, passionfruit and guava mostly, and mild berry tartness from the hibiscus as well. Quick to the finish, leaving a slightly sweet, slightly tart impression.
Mouthfeel - Light-bodied with almost zero carbonation. Dead body with a watery finish.
Overall - Not impressed. The little flavor that's here is good, but there's not much of it and it dies quickly; a bland, watery mouthfeel just adds to the problems. For two very well thought-of breweries, this is a big let down.

Was happy to see this in stores for the first time, picking it up, along with five other cans, at Windmill Farms. A hazy collab between Novo Brazil (solid haze) and New Glory (everything I’d have from them has been really good). Description on the can called it a, “The New NOVO beer is a collaboration with our friends from New Glory, Sacramento. A wonderful New England Style IPA dry hopped with Simcoe, Mosaic and Amarillo hops and Hibiscus infusion. Enjoy NOVO GLORY!!!” Hard to go wrong with that hop combo.
Wow. Looked to be reddish purple out of the can initially. Ended up pouring a medium amber-to-garnet, almost red grapefruit like hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of off-white frothy head. Could see just a few bubbles trickling up from the bottom of the glass. Excellent spotty lacing. Almost perfect retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled big notes of Mosaic and floral up front. Also hibiscus, powdered sugar, tangerine, blueberry, orange, Amarillo and bubblegum. Got a little of the Simcoe from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Wow. Taste was pretty solid too with berry and citrus dominating. Got Mosaic, mixed berry smoothie, red grapefruit, tangerine, orange pulp, Amarillo, floral, hibiscus, bubblegum and lingering Simcoe spice. Almost sour IPA like. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Soft carbonation. Long, florally, citrusy finish. (Feel - 5.00)
This beer was flat out excellent. Had the taste of a sour IPA mixed with a New England IPA with a really nice soft mouthfeel. May have even underrated it at tad. (Overall - 4.25)
