Named after our legendary rooster on the farm, this New England IPA is one of our favorite recipes. It was hopped with Citra, Mosaic and Mandarina Bavaria. A hazy golden body is crowned by a big white head. Aromas of mango, tangerine and berries come through on the nose. The flavor profile displays some citrus fruit character with a very low bitterness and a soft mouthfeel.

Ideal depth of haze. Smells fresh (30 days old), but there's something slightly off in the aroma. Flavor is better. The Mosaic hops seem to dominate with earthy, spicy flavors, while the Mandarina balance it out with a floral overlay. Flavors don't quite meld as much as I would have liked.

Cloudy yellow appearance with a large, lasting, white head and a fair amount of lacing. Tropical fruit focused aroma while letting a bit of citrus to show up. Taste remains anchored with the soft fruit profile of the nose. Moderately carbonated, medium bodied mouthfeel. No noticeable kick from the relatively high ABV. Overall, nice but indistinguishable from the huge number of offerings of the style.

Pounder can into a tulip appears a hazy pale yellow with white cap.

Aroma is soapy and sulfuric with a cattiness and grassy/herbal hops that breathes off and becomes more fruity.

Tastes herbal and fruity with a solvent booze bite overtop melon-like hop character.

Medium in body with modest carbonation. Overally pretty decent.
