For this year’s version of “Sleeves”, Kurt created an incredibly full bodied Imperial Stout! No additional adjunct flavoring needed in this one. It pours a jet black body crowned by a khaki head. A bold blend of Irish Stout, Chocolate and Roasted malts combine to provide you with bold roasted aromatics. This is followed by an almost chewy mouthfeel that is laced with cocoa, caramel and chai notes.

poured from a 16oz can to a nonic pint glass.
appearance: pitch black, even when held to light, with a dark tan head. the head wastes no time in turning into a nice dense cap.
smell: chocolatey, very slightly smokey, and the faintest hint of hops. big roasted barley with some sweetness.
taste: follows the nose. roasted barley and dark chocolate. not too much to it, simple but good.
feel: surprisingly medium bodied for such a dark stout. pretty easily drinkable, and it has a bit of crispness. not too dissimilar from a porter or a black lager but with fuller flavors. very smooth.
overall: a quality imperial stout. big flavors, a surprisingly clean taste, and a decently high ABV. probably very hard to find (i heard there were only a handful of cases for 2 local liquor stores) but, as with most releases from manor hill, worth it to pick up.
