For Milhouse’s limited release, he brewed a spring lager hopped with Saaz and Azacca. It pours a clear amber body crowned by a white head. Aromatics of citrus, lemongrass and a touch of grain come through on the nose. The flavor profile is quite refreshing with more notes of citrus accompanied by a smooth bready malt backbone.

Taster at Valhalla. Light amber pour, ring of off-white head. Sweet malty aroma, toasty. Taste is malty, bready, light sweetness, slight tang at the finish. Decent feel

A decent brew. A touch too bitter hoppy and could go a little more brown sweetness. Otherwise it’s a pretty solid brew.

Lucky to have acquired a 12 oz. can in a trade. Canned Maibocks seem to be a difficult find these days so I was delighted to find one. Even more delighted when I tasted the contents - this is a first-class Maibock. Great mix of malt and somewhat fruity hops without either being dominant. 6.5% ABV lends body but is not really noticeable. This should be a year-round product as it seemingly fits well into any season. My only regret is that it apparently isn't distributed in New England.

Clear gold, pillowy white head with good staying power and lace
Pastry-like malt, some sea air and tropical fruit hoppiness
Nice honey-pastry malt, bit of herbal and fruitiness from the hops
Light but sustaining, nice carbonation, clean
A dang good spring beer.
