New Zealand meets North America in this collaboration IPA brewed with our friends at AstroLab Brewing (Silver Spring). It starts with a full and soft malt base with wheat and oats. We vigorously hopped it with Cascade, Cashmere and Motueka. This combination brings an exotic mix of tropical aromas with pronounced lime and bright citrus, followed by secondary notes of melon and even a hint of coconut.

Light haze, in an orange package. Smell is primarily tropical and some earthy pine. A very good tasting beer, with coconut leading the way in taste. As the beer warms, a sharper resinous flavor comes out, but the beer muddles itself a tad. MF is smooth front, with nothing to slow down the flavors.
I have a fond appreciation for beers with a canning date, and it's HARD to not ding a beer over something as simple as dating.. yet I don't. The bottom of this can says: Stickey Wicket. What does that mean?

Deep gold with a chill haze, generous white head, excellent retention and lacing.
Aromas of passion fruit and pineapple, slight citrus, pine, and dank
Saturated with hops. Pretty much reflects the nose. Sweet, but not too cloying
I prefer a drier IPA, but this is where the style has moved.
Dang good, I'll keep an eye out for it in the future.
