"For this traditional take on a classic style, we harnessed our German roots. This Vienna lager pours amber in color with a fluffy white head. It offers rich and bready maltiness and a hint of toast... all balanced by restrained and deliberate noble hop additions. This clean, crisp and very tasty lager is ideal for enjoying on an equally beautiful late summer or fall day. Prost!"

Maybe a touch early for the first Oktoberfest themed beer of the season but after all that heat maybe we are ready for fall. Flavor is nutty and malty, with a medium bread note and some noble hop balance. A little waterty and texture, and fairly standard for the style. Cool cool.

Clear copper, thin off-white head, poor retention and lacing
Toast and caramel malt aroma
Tastes like it smells, with a bit of spicy/herbal hop flavor
Medium bodied with low carbonation
A bit more carbonation would help this beer a lot

Mostly clear amber appearance with an average size off white head and light lacing. Toasted malt aroma intertwined with fresh baked bread. Simple but pleasant. Hops start to take their place in the taste. Not fruity; more floral and herbal despite not being typical for a Vienna style lager. Malts still provide the oomph though. Dry, bitter aftertaste. Like that it stays refreshing well into the finish which seems to be the dead spot for many marzens.

Poured from the can into a .5 liter mug.
A festbier listed as a Vienna which works for me! She's a solid looking one too. Deep bronze orange, with a bit of haze through the body. A little still in body appearance but a surprising head makes a real splash. Super cream tall and rich, nearly white, but settles for the lightest of khaki and cracking big bubbles to go with it. Creamy top and pill touches of lacing as well. Nice looking.
Good aroma. Hits with real nice soft caramel and a very good toasty quality, nearly crusty bread but stays in a softer realm. Touches with a little bit of sweetness too and clean. Minimal hop presence if at all on the nose. Solid.
Real nice palate going here. Light bodied, flirting with wet, but the flavors are very noticeable and well done. Soft caramel, nearly taffy like, but a slight wet mouthfeel just takes away some of the push. Spicy twang of hop and herbal sweet green, nearly flirting with sweet tea like qualities … is that orange I am hinting at tasting there in hop land? Lots of leafy tea aromas on the finish, touching with a sweet malt kiss and low herbal bitterness.
This isn't really like much of a style for the season, this is really though more like sunshine in a glass. This is a neat animal, really dig this and it's a very neat twist. Nice work.
