On tap:
Nice translucent to lightly hazy copper orange. Thin sheath of white head covers surface; clumps of lacing.
Nose is grapefruit sponges rind, pine, light tropical note, and a bit of grain that doesn't quite reach tea-like.
Taste opens like a tropical tea, little heavier on the latter. It is decently dry, though. Malty sweetness actually peaks early mid taste before an earthy herbal bitterness starts to take hold. Some sips seem a little fructose sweeter, but generally this is a bitter leaning beer.
Initial sips had the definitely an APA vibe to them, as the beer was colder. Feels a bit heavier than I'd like, as the malt and bitterness seem hefty. Overall, this seems to match more closely the experience I've had with some of the hoppier APAs like Dales and SNPA than some of the more standard IPAs.
