I thought this one was a 'tweener between a NE IPA and and AIPA. A pretty good beer either way and I have no problem with the style designation. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer has a hazy honey gold color and a fairly big frothy white head. head retention is good and there is plenty of foamy lacing on the glass. Aroma and taste include mostly citrus, especially orange and a little piney aspect as well. Bitterness level is moderate, but with a delayed reaction, the citrus flavor comes before the bitterness. Mouthfeel is fairly smooth, with a decent amount of bitterness. Rich enough for the style. I had it with Indian food and it held up well.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned Jan 6th 2022.
Hazed like body with a slight bit of turbid quality. Colors light amber with hints of brown hues and some noticeable fine carbonation. The head manages a solid three fingers of simple off white color and small swiss chesse like bubbles. Looking like a standard sollid IPA witout to much sludgy appearances.
Interesting hop angle. Fruity but with a spicy sweet kick somewhere between rock candy and mint. Hints with tangerine like orange and this sweetned mint quality which is quite enjoyable. Quite a nice hop presence and mixture.
Palate goes to a familiar territory. Not as exotic, but a good orange citrus mixing with a little bit of spicy hop. Aftertaste is interesting, going towards a more of a malt notice touching caramel and some almost orange menthol and cough drop like flavors. Tangy and juiced with also some chalky malt like dust in the mix also.
Pretty solid tasting IPA, with a very good orange citrus profile and malt balance.

thick as syrup, with lots of little white elements floating about, like a fog

First time at Caboose and first time ever hearing of them. Really nice beer here. Coming from CT, I wouldn’t call this a Vermont IPA as it’s pretty hazy and not bitter at all. It’s definitely a NEIPA and a pretty good one at that.

Draft at Whole Foods in Alexandria, VA.
Slightly hazy golden body with a soapy white head that leaves ringlets of lacing cascading down the pint glass. Aromas of pine, grass, earthy hops, biscuit. Malty backbone underneath a zesty hop bill. Notes of tart grapefruit rind. Pretty good.

A medium amber with a golden tint. The head is a thick finger-plus that leaves small sticky lacing. The aroma is mild but has some nice tropical fruit and floral hops. The taste is a nice amalgam of the hops and the sweeter aromas. The body has a nice weight and is smooth throughout.

On tap:
Clear orange-leaning body with a lovely cap of head. Lacing is spooky sheaths as I drink the early part of this beer.
Nose has a citrusy note to it, maybe a little more tart than juice, mildly floral.
Initial tastes caught me off guard, a little too fruit juicy. Letting my palate adjust, it still leans that way. However, it's not as one dimensional as the first sip indicated. An undercurrent of bitterness takes perhaps a little too long to catch up. Juice turns a little bitter and a little floral-tea like. Bitterness hits parts of the tongue, but never rids it of the ruby grapefruit/orange citrus combo.
A nice body and carbonation level help make this an enjoyable beer, but I feel it needs a little more bitterness - especially in the end.
