This is a double IPA. Obviously very hoppy as all DIPAs should be, but this is not as strong as most. It could be stronger. But it's also not extremely bitter. Overall a very good beer.

one of the best beers here at vail brewing. its juicy, a good colorado style ipa, a mix of the east coast juicy and the west coast oily. they have done an excellent job with his one, using a huge range of hops i have to assume, very citrus driven, not particularly bitter, and with a nice modest grain base, especially for a double. it drinks like a regular ipa. cleaner in the finish than a lot of them, flush in body but not a lot of residuals, and a memorable hop complexion that has clementine and pink grapefruit at the forefront. smooth, with some honey richness to it, but less grain intrusion than the style norm, which i think showcases the hops a little better. i think this would also be good with a yeast flavor, maybe with a belgian pitch, or even something wild. it has that base that i think would be compatible with some additions, even fruit like blackberry or pear or something exotic. its excellent and its super fresh. of all the beers we had here, this was near the top of the list for most people in our group. extremely well done for a real new brewery.
