When I visited: July 2024, with my wife and son
What I had:
Vail Brewing Ri' Ra' Irish Export Stout (draft)
Vail Brewing Pete's Stash Hoppy Pale Ale (draft)
Food truck tacos for dinner
Overall impression:
The beer was quality, and we liked our tacos, but the service and vibe left something to be desired, and this place was not as promising/satisfying as we had hoped for

An often stop after a day of skiing Vail. A better than average selection of 9 beers on tap including something for everyone: a Pale, Amber, Blonde /light, a wheat, a rum barrel aged Coconut Porter, a Coffee Milk Stout, an IPA, a NE IPA, and a Rye IPA. Both the NE IPA & Ryed IPA were very good. My friends also really enjoyed both the Porter & the Amber. It’s nice to sit outside by the fire (it’s a very small outside space) overlooking the ice skating rink and people below. It’s a small venue, but a good stop for that first beer after coming off the mountain.

Quiet stop in downtown vail, a welcome relief after a hot summer day hiking in the mountains. Build your own samplers, in groups of three. Had about 12 beers on tap, with some available to go in can or growler format. The server was very friendly, was helpful in picking out styles. The beer itself was quite good.

This review is for the West location over in Vail-Eagle. It's a nice little branch operation that might actually be bigger than the main spot. Twelve taps - all great beers. Excellent service. There is a taco truck outside that must be sampled: best tacos anywhere and they go well with the beer.

This is a small brewery producing some nice beers just outside of Vail in a small town called Avon, I believe. There is a small bar with about 8 chairs and maybe 8-10 tables scattered around inside and maybe 4 tables outside. We were there around 2PM and there a few patrons. They have flights but we asked for 4 samples which were about 4 oz. pours. I especially liked their Stumblin Monk, and the others we tried, Tourist trap, Double IPA, and AWOL Belgian were good. Since we still had some driving to do and at 8000 ft we didn't want to push our quota. There is no food, but a food truck sometimes is there, but it wasn't while we were there. I believe you could bring in food. While we were at the bar, the brewer, Garrett, was labeling many bottles using a little machine which looked like an endless task. He was laid back, friendly, and offered information when asked. This place is a welcoming, friendly place that would be a fine watering hole for thirsty natives or travelers.

this place is really cool. i always thought they needed one in town here, and its really nice to see thse guys doing well. their space is fantastic, tucked up in eagle vail there just a bit off the exit. its got one of the coziest taprooms i have been in, with a fireplace roaring, some comfy couches, and a minimalist but classy mountain theme. the bar is right there when you walk in, with the brew house off to the left, and a small patio out front. they had as many as ten beers on, all of which i liked pretty well, but none of which blew me away. the vanilla chocolate stout and the coffee ipa both left a little to be desired, although i definitely appreciated the innovation here. the white ipa was my favorite, but others were quite good too. the double ipa was the next best, really well done. they have a semi permanent taco truck out front that just rocks too, one of the best i have seen, especially up here, a must if they are there when you stop in. all the folks were real nice but the service was slow due to a good crowd. i think their beer shows a lot of potential and fits nicely into that "tourist friendly but boundary pushing at the same time" sort of range. definitely a place to unwind after a day on the mountain. loved the vibe more than the beer, but its on its way. only dog friendly on the patio too, which is a bummer if thats your thing and its wintertime...

Small place with a lot of charm. Slow Monday night. Had a flight, and 5 of 6 beers not in BA, which I never understand. Most every beer on the board not in BA. Seems the least a brewer can do. Hope to check back in the future.
