New England Hazy IPA

A fresh can of Nelson and Citra hops. When I opened it up, massive citrus and tropical fruits emitted. I used a tulip glass and served the beer around 38 degrees. A frothy and pillowy head has above-average retention. The slow dissipation left gobs of lacing on the glass. The color charts around SRM 4, pale gold with straw-like hues. The beer is hazy, but some carbonation is visible on the sides of the glass. An elegant appearance for this style.
The hop aromas are huge citrus, melons, grass, mangos, and pears. Nosing further in the glass, I detect biscuit, soft wheat, lightly toasted malts, and yeast.
The brightest flavors are melons, mangos, pears, mandarin oranges, and pineapple. Sipping the beer a few times, I taste a hint of grass, yeast, biscuit, crackers, lightly toasted malts, and a touch of grapefruit,
The mouthfeel is soft and slightly tannic. The body is medium, medium-low carbonation, and pleasant finish.
The beer is ripe with fruity flavors. The malt backbone is firm yet feathery, allowing the hop profile to shine. I taste a bit green, like grass and herbal; however, that is slight and does distract from the hops profile. Lovely beer, would not mind sipping on a few more.
