Another concept for finding a niche in a tightening market. Company Brewing, as I gather from the internet, brews for this Beer Endowment Project (both run by the same man) who, in turns, works with artists' projects and supports them with any profits. Interesting. And why not bring more artistic culture into brewing culture ?
Poor Farm Pils has a balanced label graphically and I give Look points for that. Smells are mostly malt. Tastes remind me more of Ruhr Valley hybrid-lagers; fruitier and tamer hops than classic Bavarian pils. And sure enough, Poor Farm is modeled after a nearby Hamburg rendition; (so says an article I found on the Beer Endowment.) Medium-mouthed.
I give considerable Overall Hugs for the Project and Company Brewing and the effort to improve beer labels. I would drink this again if I ever found it.
Canned 1/22/23. Pretty sure I bought this at Woodman's Kenosha in the Wisconsin section on a beer run north of the border. Poor Farm Pilsner Prost !

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours golden yellow with a small white head. Smells of sweet grain, very inviting. Tastes of sweet grain, full flavored for the style, malty, but not overly so. Beer is light bodied and very easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
