Our pilsner is a no-frills kind of beer. Clean, crisp and refreshing, we hopped this beer with just enough Czech Noble Hops to lend a refreshing hoppiness, with subtle notes of cracked pepper. Pilsners require exacting precision, which as any carpenter knows is as “simple” as following the rule of 3-4-5.

Appearance: clear golden yellow in color with a nice 2" head.
Smell: light aroma of some crackers and lemons,
Taste: grainy malt base with some grass, lemon zest, and crackers. Mild bitterness.
Mouthfeel: light in body. Crisp to start, less crisp at the finish. Refreshing.
Overall: a good basic pilsner that hits the spot.

The brewery's website indicates the use of Czech hops and a peppery note. The Czech Pils style may stem from this, but to me it is a decent version of an American Pilsner (not AAL, but also not to mean over-hopped, as you'll see). If you go into it as such, bump my rating up a couple tenths.
Nice and clear, golden, with a nice head that takes a little to fade (but does).
Nose is a little more fruity floral than bready of spicy hoppy, though there is a hint of the latter.
Taste starts clean, maybe a hint of cereal maltiness. Then comes the fruityfloral notes and a more common Euro-American flavor in general. The backend recovers slightly, with a light grassy note, and a very light hint of pepper. Clean, crisp, refreshing feel, for sure.
I expect a little more bitterness from my Czech Pils. This is a well-made drinkable beer that could use a bit more bitterness in general, and throw in a bit more for a Czech Pils, maybe.
