A:
Pours a think pitch black with a couple fingers of thick khaki head that drops to a film. Decent retention; streaked lacing. (4)
S:
Lightly roasty, nutty, coffee, chocolate, barn wood, brown sugar. (4)
T:
Follows the nose, less sweet, faint red fruits, light roast astringency. (3.75)
M:
Medium body with active carbonation and a lingering roasty finish. (3.75)
O:
Solid porter.
I don't know how much the Brett adds to it but it is a tasty porter,to style with a kind of fruity/earthy character.
In both smell and flavor it could do with a bit more oomph and togetherness but it is far from bad. I'd definitely have it again. (4)

Decent black body capped by a decent creamy off-white head. Stellar retention and thick lacing as well. Nose wafts vanilla, coffee, mild toast, solid roast and no hint of the Brett. Taste is similar, starting with a mild cereal graininess, before a vanilla middle and lightly acidic, slightly fruity finish. The body is creamy with decent weight and slight carbonation. A fine beer. The Brett is minimal, but the Porter is solid.
