From a 500ml bottle, stamped 21032017. Served in an imperial pint pub glass. Note: stated abv is 6%.
Pours a barely hazed copper-gold with three-plus fingers of soft, tight, creamy head. Retention is excellent and leaves a decent amount of spotty lacing behind.
Nose of wet cereal and sharp, fruity yeast. Tobacco, raspberries and cider vinegar.
Taste is dominated by the Brett, all fruity and sharp, emphasized by grainy, caramel maltiness. Cigar wrappers, tea, lemon seeds and apple peels. and a little musty basement muskiness. Finishes clean with some floral hop bitterness.
Feel is clean and refreshing, medium-light bodied and pretty aggressively carbonated.
Overall, a tasty and enjoyable... APA? I guess but, left to my own devices, that wouldn't have been one of my first guesses. Not to be pedantic but, hey, anyway... it was good, I liked it, I wish I had more.

Bottle: poured a hazy dirty beige color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of fruity ester with nice floral hoppy notes is quite interesting. Taste is a nice mix of fruity ester from the Brett yeast notes with some great hoppy notes with floral undertones and very limited bitterness. Body is full with excellent carbonation. I really loved how the Brett notes enhance and complement the hoppy notes.

It is a hazy yellowish-tan in the glass with a fat finger+ of foam insulation lace. Fat concentric rings of lace, decent gloppy retention (3.75). It smells lightly floral with dead grass, potpourri spiciness, a hint of citrus and a little stanky funkiness with an undercurrent of caramel malt holding it all together (4). The flavor is of hay tea with dusty wood and some lemon (in terms of bright aromatics and of slight tartness) (3.75). It is a medium-minus body with a really fluffy/effervescent feel. Extremely drinkable, simple and tasty (4). Would have again (especially a fresher bottle—or two to see what becomes of one of them). Nice easy drinking pale ale. I don't know about it's Americanosity. I kind of thought of it as a British PA until I was halfway through the glass and read the label. I thought it was really solid. As an APA, I'd like it hoppier. We'll see with a fresh bottle at some point. (3.75)
