16oz can picked up at the source in Missoula, MT
Poured into a Council Belgian-style tulip

P clear dark orange/copper w/ a 1f white head
N very soft nose of jasmine; blood orange and subtle caramel malt come into the mix as I drank through it
T light bready caramel malt carries citrus; finishes w/ herbal jasmine notes and a light-med earthy bitterness; pleasant profile- simple and nicely balanced; more caramel malt sweetness as it warms; pine comes out as well
Mf med to med-full bodied w/ med to med-high carb; on the dry side
O I'm digging this one- a nicely done IPA; exceeded expectations; probably my favorite from Great Burn to date!

this is cool beer, by far the best of the two i had in here, and seemingly one of their more popular offerings. its a simple ipa really, a little old school even, slightly caramel colored, not quite clear, unfiltered i suspect, with a short head from the tap. it smells awesome though and tastes just as good, the green tea adds a lot, seemingly as much bitterness as the hops do in the finish, a dried herbal character through most of it, and a sort of implied citrus element. the jasmine is also rad, easily identifiable to my senses, fresh and pungent, and as present in the flavor as it as in the aroma, unique and highly compatible with the hops. this maybe is a little more malty than it needs to be in terms of flavor but i like the medium body a lot for this. the hops flash between noble and familiar and also sort of new zealand-esque and exotic, a sorachi ace suggestion even, lemon curdy like that as it warms, the hops, the tea, and the jasmine all contributing equally, its rad! i could use more carbonation, this is a little still for such alive flavors, and the ferment could be a tad cleaner, but this recipe is legit and the execution is catching up to it a little bit. that said, this is real good, maybe their best, i was stoked on it. tea is underutilized as a beer ingredient i reckon...
