A good malty brew for the winter months. It has nice chocolate and caramel aromas with a mild malt sweetness.

16oz can picked up at the source in Missoula, MT
Poured into a La Fin du Monde tulip
P deep mahogany w/ a 1-2f foamy khaki head; decent retention; heavy lace left behind; definitely a nice pour
N soft to soft-med nose of bready malt and plum notes w/ a light sweetness
T lots of hearty dark bready malt throughout, w/ just a touch of grassiness and plum; a bit of earthiness lingers; moderate sweetness; light toastiness detected as it opens up; pleasant, simple, and satisfying
Mf med to med-full bodied; med carb level
O not a lot of depth for the style, but likable and a decent drinker nonetheless; would have again
