my lady likes a clean beer, thats what she says, she wants a clean beer, and we all know what that means at the broadest level. i agree with her, even though my style window for such desires is far smaller than hers. this, she described as a clean beer, and i concur completely. its dry and bright, well made, well carbonated, built for a shaker pint, and with about as much wheat character as one could seek in something like this. the ginger seems fresh and real, and is spicy to the extent that some might find this element too strong, but i like it this time of year, and reckon the whole beer kind of depends on it! i like that it isnt a hefe or a wit, but that the yeast still speaks a little in it, and i like that the ginger is as natural as it is, a little punch never killed anyone, and it doesnt here, a few slugs and the palate attenuates nicely and finds this refreshing, at least mine does. good carbonation, which is key here, and a relative dryness, no honey or anything belgian or weird extending it, its just a drinker with a little wheat and ginger, works for me, especially in the nice weather. perfect for their patio, a grilled fish dish, or even a golf course, if they ever get around to putting it in cans...
