This golden ale with a slight malty sweetness is an excellent example of the flavor derived from Munich malt. The conservative hopping rate allows the malt flavor to shine through.

maybe the least impressive beer i have had from these guys so far. they are all pretty basic, which hasnt really bothered me, but this one is downright boring, and clean as it is to drink, which is necessary in the style, but it doesnt have much going on at all. it has just a little amber hue to it for a golden or blonde or whatever, and it has a cool german vibe to the malt, just a little of that sweetness to it, but its a really minimal beer in terms of flavor overall, as the hops and the yeast are essentially invisible here. certainly presents more like an amber to me. i do like the clean earthy minerality it finishes with, and the combination of a little extra body for the style and the dry finish are both nice textural elements, but i want this to be a little more robust in some way. kind of easily lost to the pub style food in here, but sessionable enough i suppose. my lady liked how clean it was for the style, and i agree, and think thats true of many of the beers in here, but i was looking for a little more out of this one. some style confusion, but a crowd pleaser i would think, and definitely better than its ratings though, one dimensional as it is...

Listed as an amber aLE, but classified as a pilsener. Appearance was on the amber side, with thin head. Light in aroma and taste, faint malt and hops. Nothing stood out too much, just an average beer.

Pours a murky golden color with almost no head. Half-decent lacing. Off-putting maple scent, with biscuit malt and orange. Disturbing lemony flavor, and I also get some baking soda and walnuts. Chunky mouthfeel and light finish
