This was a beer that my wife ordered while she was at a local pub with my parents during a recent trip to central Indiana. As always, she wanted my opinion on the beer that she was drinking, which I was more than happy to give.
This beer pours a clear, golden hue that is topped with a thin, white, frothy head that dissipates very quickly to nothing. Carbonation is low. 3.5/5 The aroma is chiefly of lemon zest and white bread. A bit of grain and light sweetness come through, along with a light butteriness, but the lemon and white bread reign supreme here. 3.5/5 The flavor profile is once again chiefly of lemon zest and white bread, along with a grainy sweetness and a bit of lemon juice. There are some grassy and herbal hops that shine through but these notes are very light and there is very little bitterness associated with the hops. No flavor lingers after swallowing. 4/5 This is a light bodied Kolsch that is wetting and low on carbonation, with no drying before or after swallowing. 4/5 This beer actually reminds me more of a Czech Pilsener than a Kolsch. The butteriness an malt profile just screams Czech Pilsener to me. It is still a very good Kolsch and very enjoyable, just a bit different for the style than I am used to. 3.75/5

Light gold color, almost clear. Moderate head but no lace.
Soapy, earthy smell. Distracting.
I'm a bit disappointed with this beer. It's a delicate beer that's hard to make. When done well, it's spectacular. Otherwise, it's a drag. This one fits into the latter category. Slightly sour with a cream flavor. The body is okay with a higher bubble level. Chewy malt aftertaste.

On tap at Chatham Tap. I am really impressed with this one. It fits the kolsch style really well with a crystal clear appearance and an easy drinking feel with a crisp, dry finish. This was a bit of a flyer as I have never heard of the brewery. I would gladly get this one again.
