On tap
A - Beer arrived at the table with a thin white head that dissipates very quickly to an ultra thin, almost non-existent, lacing. The head, while it lasted, was white in color and a light foam in appearance. The beer itself is clear, and a brownish mahogany color with low carbonation in the form of small bubbles rising slowly toward the surface. 4/5
S - This beer features a bit of a stout and porter style aroma with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, molasses, and dark roasted malt. Noble hops seem to be the choice here providing a very clean finish to the aroma. Deep and dark but also light due to this being a lager instead of an ale. 4.25/5
T - Dark chocolate and cold pressed coffee jump out and hit my taste buds right away. A bit of pumpernickel bread follows suite providing a nice graininess and spiciness before the caramel and molasses hit. There is a bit of a vanilla undertone prior to the noble hops kicking in and finishing the flavor profile off. Almost no bitterness to this beer and no lingering. 4/5
M - Light and crisp with no real drying of the palate. Moderate carbonation burn up front but this dissipates quickly. No lingering dryness on the swallow. 4.25/5
O - Light, sessionable, and complex. Not a combination of 3 words that I write often. With a flavor profile that comes across somewhat like a porter, with the lightness of a lager, this beer is very sessionable, very flavorful, and is just downright enjoyable to drink. 4/5
