Poured from 22oz bomber into a tulip.
Appearance: rich golden hue with a clear body and a light effervescence. Head is a thin layer of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: aroma is lightly toasty without much in the way of saison funk. There's a very floral hop aroma here which plays with the toastiness and makes it ever-so-slightly soapy. It's not bad, if that's your thing.
Taste: toasty, soapy and almost coconutty. The juniper advertised on the bottle comes through as a generic herbiness but it doesn't seem explicitly like juniper. An interesting mélange, to be sure, but maybe not an outstanding one.
Mouthfeel: medium body with an low carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this beer is kind of a mess, with a lot of interesting but incongruent things going on. Perhaps a worthy experiment, but maybe not a beer I want to drink a ton of.
