Not afraid to throw serious numbers at the rating. This is pretty much exactly everything I'm looking for in the style. High drinkability, deliciously balanced with a hint of sweet, perfect roast quality without any acidic note nor any burned bitterness. Superb!

I love a good stout, and this is a great stout.

Sample at the source.
Deep brown/black in color with a frothy off white head. Roasty earthy light caramel and chocolate with a bit of a creamy mouthfeel. Solid stout quite drinkable, but for my tastes I would have enjoyed just a hint more body.

From the 32 oz. growler that was tapped on April 29, 2016. Sampled on May 6, 2016.
Dark as night brown pour with a moderate, soft tan head. Little lacing but it lingers.
The aroma has dark toasted malts, a hint of coffee, and a slight tobacco or ash character. Low hop profile.
Medium body but smooth.
The taste has the same toasted dark malt character with a little coffee and a mild bitterness to finish. Easy to drink.
