I brought three different bottles from this brewery back from Costa Rica. Didn't have much expectation for the Saison. A tough style to get just right. This beer came in a 12 oz bottle and, instead of foil around the neck of the bottle to dress it up, had brown paper and a rubber band!!!!!! Then I tasted it!!!!! Good stuff. Very pale yellow color with a foamy white head. Good retention and some lacing on the glass. Aroma really nailed the style, yeast and some musty, barnyard funk. Flavor is more of the same. A little lemon zest, some musty, barnyard funkiness and Belgian yeast. Nothing that strong or overdone. Mouthfeel is crisp, rich enough with good funky presence. This is a good Saison. Can't wait to try the Witbier and AIPA from the same brewery!!!!!
