Son Brewing Co. “FLIPA”

Look: Hazy deep amber copper beneath a short head of creamy white foam.
Smell: Piney and citrusy over a lightly sweetish and biscuity malt.
Taste: As the aroma indicates with more citrus (grapefruit, orange) and more pine and resin. The malt is grainy, bready, and biscuity. A firm to solid bitterness balances it and it finishes dry, citrusy, and resinous. In the mouth it’s medium bodied and crisp. All said and done it’s a surprisingly good IPA at 4.8% ABV but perhaps really more of an American pale ale with extra aroma hops.
