not quite as hoppy or distinct as the yotus ipa, but another good one from these guys. i think they must mix it up in the mash a bit, some corn perhaps, along with pale barley, maybe even a little wheat, for being somewhat less hoppy, this is more substantial in terms of grain, much more flavorful, and with a little more sweetness running though it. i like the medley, its not too much, and the more moderate hopping sort of makes it mellow all the way around, not much bitterness here really. a little citrus on the nose, but the flavor is more of a classic grassy complexion, not as lively as the yotus, not even close, but in a real nice balance. very well carbonation and clean in the finish, easy drinking and just a little bit interesting as they go. probably the closest thing they had going to an introductory type craft beer, the rest of the menu was ambitious and innovative, so this might be a good place to start for those lukewarm on the whole thing. these guys are making some really nice beers right now.
