Scriptown Brewing Co. "The Gatekeeper"
16 fl. oz. can, "CANNED 12/10/25" and sampled on 12/26/25
$5.00 @ the brewery on 12/26/25
Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a very dark brown that appears black in the full glass and reveals only minor ruby highlights at the base of the glass. The aroma is clean with some floral character and a combination of dried dark skinned fruits and dark bittersweet chocolate. The taste follows with more of everything. The chocolate is fuller and wider, there's some nuttiness to it as well as a drop of caramel, and the fruitiness includes notes of cherry, prune, dried fig, plum, black raisin, and date. A firm bitterness balances it, and dries it in the finish. In the mouth it's medium-full in body and gently crisp-and then-smooth with a moderate, fine-bubbled carbonation. It's rich and satisfying.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
